Education in the Digital Age: Simple yet profound...
As a writer and grader of papers, I can say that this is unbelievably true, perhps the greatest truth of the essay in the digital age: “We no longer write papers, we right paragraphs”.

So I am trying to eat healthy and ride my bike more. But in a strange turn of event my ride to work was followed by a scrumdiddlyumptios bar, no golden ticket but it lived up to its name

The last breaking news tweet  started “Police robot enters home “. That sentancewould have blown the mind of someone 20 years ago, the mental image would have been way cooler than the truth though.

Dale Bowman’s column on the MCAA Winter Tournament Sam Snow and Frank Rink organize some great tournaments for the Midwest Carp Anglers Association and the winter tournament was no exception. I only managed 10 hours of fishing during the two months of the tournament but it was great to watch everbody’s progress. Special congratulations are in order for Dan Ramir who was the 2010 MCAA...

My cube is cleared out. A messenger bag full of files and a grocery bag full of toys, pictures, etc. While my transfer will come with a nice pay raise and be closer to my apartement, I can’t help feeling sad, and honestly angry that the new administration’s policies have effectively dismantled what could have been an exemplar of best practices in evaluating programs within a large...

Hobbies
I would very much like to take up the hooby of beer making. It actually can be undertaken with a not over the top investment and the basics are realively easy. Unfortunately I think that between paying for my fishing habit and the lack of space in my apartment I will have to let this idea ferment for a while.

I had to include this because every time I sumble upon this (not stumbleupon mind you) it makes me laugh. Maybe because I am sick of complaining students and maybe because I have never had anyone proposition me in such a way. Its not that I want them to or would do anything it just seems as though with as many ta and teachers that I know I should hear a story like this from someone.

Worst Movies of the Decade
I wanted to share Bob Mondelo’s list of the worst movies of the decade, and I’d have to say he did a fine job. In order to make the list the movie had to have 30 million dollars or more. Worst Romance: Fools Gold Worst SciFi: Battlefield Earth Worst Blockbuster/Action Movie: Pearl Harbor Worst Comedy/Overall Worst Movie of the Decade: The Love Guru

Progress PS
Oh yeah…one more thing on the progress report. An article I workd on was just published in the journal Social Pscyhology in Education. With the eye catching title Impact of school sense of community within a faith-based university: administrative and academic staff perceptions on institutional mission and values. Seriously don;t read it. I am 4th author an I haven’t even read it....

Progress
So in DP new the Ninja Report has been proposed which is by far the most progress made to date. Might actually be able to get the damn thing done by the end of the school year. Also I got promoted at work. Kind of. Again. Kind of. CPS does not like to hire part time employees because they don’t want to give any of the benefits that would come with a true part time position. To get around this...

Dear Corner Bakery
No peanut butter Whoopie Pies made me sad, but the addition of Pumpkin Whoopie Pies made me happy. What I am saying is be careful. I like fate, am fickle.

so snl is actually funny. Like not a 100% of the time but there are some real gems to be had. Need proof see James Carville on the Tea Party protests. “There are no moderates in the anti health care reform protests, they just seem moderate because they are surrounded by the super crazies. Its like when a midget stands next to a smart car - you aint tall midget, you just clever”.

The Zombie Threat Level and Indicators Chart
Blue                    Absolutely no threat of zombie apocalypse. Obviously never occurs naturally in nature, is purely theoretical. Yellow If it’s yellow you’re mellow. Orange No immediate threat. Should be aware of all emergency exits, potential weapons, and the various rudimentary zombie killing strategies (i.e. razor wire lasso which when tightened like a noose will result...

Scorecard
So I know that when Isa left she had a lot of fears about leaving me alone for a whole week. Well Isa will be back late late tomorrow night so let’s look over what she feared and what actually happened. () What she feared   - What actually happened (I would eat nothing but Chipotle and Wendy’s.) - I ate a lot of Wendy’s but just the average (for me) amount of Chipotle, I did however have s...

Home Alone
When you have been with someone a couple years like Isa and I you start to get really used to you relationship. Sometimes it seems like there are not a whole lot of milestones your relationship has left to achieve. I don’t mean this in a bad way, its not that we are in a rut, its just the short of the weeding, buying a house, having a baby, that kind of big stuff we have really gobbled up most of...

ZOMBIES!!!
So you may or may not have seen my opus THE ZOMBIE THREAT LEVEL GUIDE. Well, the zombie threat level guide is currently under review on collegehumor.com. If it gets enough likes before the staff review there is a good chance that it could be put on the main page. The submission editor ate out the color and some of the formatting so it is not visually stunning but it would be cool if it made it up...

The Button
My boss just told me that “she had a button she wanted me to push” which was weird. She then explained that their is a mysterious button on the wall by the breakroom that I had never noticed. Apparently the supervisors have been asking what it does and the building management people keep telling them its not important, just don’t push it. I am dying to push this button, I want...

An open letter to Rappers
Hello gentleman and gentlewomen, I would like to address the rampant use of possibly misleading lyrics. For the sake of this letter I will use a line in the song ” International Players Anthem (i Choose You) lyrics” a song by Ugk featuring Outkast, namely mister Andre 3000. While I will not be so brazen as to call into question the entire song I would like to point out to you that...
